Dogging Rules
Dogging has typically been hardest for single men.
Couples often park up and get to it, however when are others sure of when to proceed to them - that's the question more often posed by doggers.
Couples usually play in their cars, or around their vehicle. Most often for voyeurs to watch as they get to it. Occasionally, they will ask or sign for others join in.
You should only join in or move intimately close if the couple or parties involved ask you to.
Often they will switch the interior lights of their car on and off. This is flashing - a signal for you to move closer as the couple want voyeurs to watch or join in.
When you go to a dogging area, make sure of the following:
- Take condoms and be prepared for safe sex.
- Post or reply to a dogging ad to arrange a dogging meet.
- There are often several areas on a dogging location - some for gay sex, others for couples. Be sure of which you want to visit.
- Make sure if you're travelling alone that someone knows where you are.
Dogging Law
UK law protects member of the general public from being unwilling witnesses to sexual behaviour or from being harassed or intimidated in their use of public spaces or facilities. Therefore, sex in public areas may be offended is illegal.
But there may be a way around this. If you are in a private place or in a location where you wouldn't reasonably expect to be found, you may be OK. Being reported and/or prosecuted for dogging predominantly relies on an onlooker becoming offended and reporting you.
